With the development of science and technologies, modern military vehicles and engineering machines are also developing for higher speed, heavier load, more compact structure. And we mostly focus on max travel range, acceleration and detent performance etc., this would require the friction accessories to work under critical conditions, such as: high temperature, high speed, heavy load, corrosive medium and strong radiation etc. There is a new friction material produced by modern technologies which can work under critical circumstances mentioned above and was produced by agglomeration of metallic friction material: copper-based friction plate. The material shows excellent friction performances and don`t have any organic composition which may contaminate environment.  Its blooming application shows powerful potential of replacing classical friction materials.

The material was a kind of multi-cell composite material composed by metallic base, ceramic cell and lubricating cell and was agglomerated by powder metallurgy technologies. It has excellent friction, heat conduct and  abrasion performances in high temperature. Therefore, it`s extensively applied for heavy loads and in critical working conditions.
